Day four at camp: Rescue Me!!

Uncategorized,central kidz — central kidz on July 21, 2010 at 6:41 pm

We are officially over our half way point here at camp and everyone is still alive and well!!! The kids are getting more comfortable with each other and their surroundings which means they are getting rowdier…but don’t fear, the title relates to today’s teaching theme not a cry for help from the leaders :)

Today is a Big Day at camp. In the midst of swimming, zip-lining, archery, paint ball, hiking, crafts & team building, our theme for the day is Rescue. We’ve been learning that we are all “shipwrecked.” We’re following the story of Jonah each day learning that “we’ve all gone the wrong direction,” “we all need help,” and today: “We need to be rescued.” Hopefully you can figure out that our rescuer is GOD. As you read this, pray that all our campers would have open hearts and ears tonight as they here that they need to let God rescue them through Jesus.

Below is a look at what we did today. Enjoy!

Blessing, Heidi Sandifer

  3. I’m so excited for my son, Alex and all the campers getting Wi-Fi connection with God in their little hearts. Just thinking about what’s happening there, gives me a deep joy.
Central Christian, you guys are wonderful, and it is certain that God is with you.

PS. However, I still think that this camp is too long for me.

  4. Thank you for the pictures! We were able to see our daughter in Ms. Kristi’s group. I know she is making new friends, growing even stronger in her faith and learning so much, which she will share with us when she arrives home. Rescue! Love the lesson today. It is our prayer each child will open their hearts and trust Jesus will show them the way and be right there with them along the way. God Bless each and every one of you campers. Blessings to all the staff as well. Thanks for the updates.
